Rapper,
Kobby Dope announced via his twitter on Saturday morning that he was recording a joint
tape with singer Deon. The rapper tweeted:
“I
met Deon in Sergio’s studio once and it is amazing talking to someone who
thinks the same way you do musically. Things just kicked off right away. While
we were waiting for our session outside the studio, Deon was playing
instrumentals from his phone and we were just playing around with them but it
just sounded dope every time. Deon would come up with melodies and hooks and
I’d drop some bars on it. When we went into the studio, it was the same thing
that happened. Sergio played a lot of beats for us and we seemed to like/hate
the same kind of beats. There was this cohesion and we have since recorded a
lot of jams, some of our individual solo projects and the rest for a joint
tape. Sergio is working on the songs and my team is talking to his team to see
how best to put it out for the fans but what I can say for now is everyone is
happy. Enjoy this freestyle as you wait…”
